Dr. May is an expert in dyslexia and literacy development. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the rollout of California’s dyslexia legislation, including the state’s requirements for universal screening, early identification, and staff professional development. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in education, Dr. May has synthesized the latest evidence-based approaches into practical tools and trainings designed for school administrators, psychologists, and educators. Dr. May partners with school districts to ensure compliance with California’s new mandates while building the capacity of staff to identify, support, and effectively intervene with students at risk for dyslexia.
